Selena Gomez's worldwide fame as an actress and singer is undisputed. She is the star of Disney series Wizards of Waverly Place is one of her biggest success projects. Selena Marie Gomez, her full title is. Her full name is Selena Marie. Parents were Amanda Cornett and Ricardo Gomez. Selena's mother was just 16 an old when she was born. In the year 2009, Selena landed her first part in show business, playing Gianna in Barney and her Friends. This way, she joined the ranks of kids who've enjoyed the chance to get involved with the anthromorphic dinosaur, which is now popular in the past. Selena was a part of several episodes from episodes 7 and 8 between 2001 and 2003. Fun fact: Selena isn't the only one who sang in Barney as well as his Friends at this time; Demi Lovato was also part of the cast of the series. Selena Gomez had a few auditions for different series and films in the years following the show Barney and his Friends. Her auditions did not go well. After the departure of the show Selena was able to audition for a variety of roles in different programs and films but was not very successful. She also was given the role of Emily Grace Garcia in the 2006 Brain Zapped program for which she composed a tune.
